What is OpenCloud?

OpenCloud is an open-source, self-hosted file sharing platform — a privacy-focused alternative to Google Drive and OneDrive. It runs as a single binary with no database required, making it radically simpler than PHP-based alternatives.

How does OpenCloud hosting work?

You deploy the OpenCloud preset on Sliplane. We handle the server infrastructure while you manage files, users, and sharing in OpenCloud.

How much does it cost?

We bill each server based on the hours it has been running. Prices start from 9€ per month not including VAT (based on a runtime of 30.42 days).

How do I get started?

Sign up with GitHub to get started. You can create a Demo server to try out our service for free, however Demo servers will only run for 48 hours.

Can I use OpenCloud for team collaboration?

Yes. OpenCloud supports Spaces (team data rooms), federated sharing, and real-time document editing through Collabora. You can manage user accounts and permissions from the admin interface.

Is OpenCloud GDPR compliant?

Yes. OpenCloud is fully GDPR compliant and designed with privacy as a core principle. All data stays on your server — no third-party services are involved.
